About Jonathan Field
Jonathan Field makes one-off pieces of furniture that are strikingly individual in design and the way the materials are used.
He is strongly influenced by early years spent in the flat open landscape of east Yorkshire’s coastal area and the natural ordered patterns found in the landscape.
Working with beautiful materials and looking closely at grain and texture, he brings out the wood’s natural beauty: no two pieces of furniture are the same.
All his pieces are initialed. Jonathan will be showing at Grand Designs Live both in London and Birmingham, at 100% Design in September and at the two Mid Century Modern shows in Dulwich.
His work has also been shown by the Connaught Brown Gallery, London, at the Maastricht Art Fair, the Pavilion of Art and Design and The Masterpiece Fair.
Jonathan lives with his family in Stoke Newington, London and has a workshop in East London.
